Led by Registered Dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, Cristina Luibil, join Down to Earth Nutrition as we guide you through the 10 Principles of Intuitive Eating, all while learning to build trust and self-compassion. Everyone's Intuitive Eating Journey is different and totally their own - start yours here.
Sessions are held the first and third Mondays of each month from 7-8pm EST on Zoom, starting January 2023.

Why did you start Nourish Your Body?
Nourish Your Body started with two RD college friends who wanted to bring Intuitive Eating to everyone who wanted to learn about it, at an accessible cost and format. Read more about Cristina's RD bestie here!
We both knew from our lived experience navigating Intuitive Eating just how beneficial and liberating it is. Intuitive Eating truly is life changing!
We both wanted to provide a group support program for those just discovering or rediscovering Intuitive Eating; something educational and comprehensive, but also low-key enough for busy lifestyles. Cristina now brings Nourish Your Body to you through Down to Earth Nutrition.
The Nourish Your Body program is based on a 2020 study by researchers C.B. Burnette and S.E. Mazzeo. We reached out to the author to get permission to use the methods and educational framework, and she was more than happy to allow it and provide us resources.
Are there any special benefits of this specific program, since it's adapted from a research study?
Yes, there are many benefits! Since we are incorporating the methods and intervention of the published experiment, we have data and outcomes!
This study's typical outcomes included a reduction in:
🪴 Disordered eating behavior, such as (but not limited to) rigid rules around food
🪴 Being dissatisfied with your body
🪴 Weight-bias internalization, aka negative beliefs about yourself due to weight or body size
This study's typical outcomes included an improvement in:

To us, these sound like AMAZING typical outcomes! Keep in mind, outcomes or results can never be guaranteed. We do not guarantee results. There is a good chance, based on this research data, that you may experience the same positive effects after completing our Intuitive Eating program, we just cannot guarantee it.
I get that Intuitive Eating is not a diet, but what if I still want a smaller body? Can I still join?
Yes, this program is definitely for you. It is normal in our society to want a smaller or different body, because that is what we are conditioned to believe is "better" from diet culture.
It is totally normal for those who start an Intuitive Eating Journey to still want to change their body in some way. We will learn in this program, with the support of others going through a similar experience, that we are not healthier if we diet and shrink our body size. We will use self-compassion and other coping techniques to help us.
With Intuitive Eating, we use emotion, instinct and rational thought to guide us to a better relationship with food (and this definition of a "better relationship" is likely different for everyone). Intuitive eating is so liberating from the aforementioned pervasive sense of mental, emotional, and physical restriction. You will have such a sense of pride once you are on your own Intuitive Eating Journey.
Who is this program for?

I'm very intrigued! How does it work?
Because there are 10 Principles of Intuitive Eating, Nourish Your Body will run in 10 bi-weekly sessions (first and third Monday of the month) starting in October 2022. This means to complete the entire Intuitive Eating Workbook in a support group setting led by an RD, you can do so in 5 months if you join the sessions consecutively. The program starts over from the beginning once the 10 sessions are complete, so you are free to join at any point in time if that works better for you.
Between sessions, you'll have the option to join a private community for Down to Earth Nutrition clients only, called "Staying Nourished" (hosted on Facebook).
Here are the easy steps to join and complete Nourish Your Body:
Step 1. Click the link below to purchase your first session and set up an account in the Down to Earth Nutrition secure portal (called Healthie). You'll be able to select the date and topic of your first session.
It would be most beneficial to the Intuitive Eating Journey to start with Principle 1 to get the full experience, though we honor your decision to join whenever is right for you. Cristina will provide some information on Principle 1 (Reject the Diet Mentality) if you join anytime after this session.
Step 2. Make your one time purchase of The Intuitive Eating Workbook.
Step 3. Check your email for information about your session, including options to complete workbook items before the session. We call this "Your Inside Job". You will receive an email before each session you register for, and it's highly beneficial to complete Your Inside Job prior to each session.
Step 4. Continue joining Nourish Your Body and putting in the time for YOU towards your Intuitive Eating Journey! You'll be able to easily register for sessions via Healthie.
Step 5: The BEST step! Start YOUR journey towards becoming an intuitive eater!
All-inclusive option: If you do plan to commit to all 10 sessions of Nourish Your Body, you can do so up front and we will gift you the Intuitive Eating Workbook with your purchase. This would be $350 dollars for 5 months of Intuitive Eating support, and everything is set up for you automatically.

Please note, because this is a group program, we need 4 attendees per session to host each week. So please grab a friend!
Cool! Is there anything else I should expect?
We expect all program participants to be under the routine care of a physician.
A mental health provider, such as a therapist or counselor, is also a beneficial addition to a health care team. We encourage program participants to have an open mind if they feel they want or need to talk with mental health professional.
NOTE: if you are currently suffering from and/or are in early recovery from an eating disorder, please consult with your treatment team (therapist, RD, MD) before joining, as participants may be reflecting on their own lived experience during the group sessions.
